Berkshire Hathaway’s new Carolina Beach office was designed to make a striking impact in the heart of town. The new construction considered both foot traffic and street presence, ensuring the space feels welcoming and dynamic. The client wanted a dramatic, open layout with high ceilings and modern décor that reflects its coastal surroundings. The mural of a surfer became the inspiration for much of the interior, serving as the anchor point that brings the entire design together.
Key design features highlight both functionality and style. The chandelier, a sculptural focal point, draws the eye upward to balance the soaring ceilings. A limited neutral palette was requested to keep the interior refined, while expansive windows keep the atmosphere bright and visually connected to the colorful exterior environment. This combination creates a cohesive, modern beachside space with both sophistication and a sense of place.
