Marsh Front Oasis is a Wilmington home filled with natural light, expansive marsh views, and ever-changing scenery of birds, water, and mature trees. The true star, however, is Henry, the family’s beloved ragdoll cat who fits seamlessly into every setting. The design goals were to create a rich and cozy atmosphere by layering art, textures, rugs, and wallpapers, enhancing the already beautiful open spaces.

A classic William Morris wallpaper, revived in a modern palette, sets the tone in the master bedroom, while a painterly palm frond and highly textured mica bring depth to the dining room. The dining ceiling was hand-painted with metallic finishes, adding motion, whimsy, and elegance. Artist Kimberly James contributed by painting the coffered ceiling in the living room and applying a pearl-toned grass cloth effect in the kitchen. Balancing textiles, wood, stone, and glass allowed us to achieve the client’s vision of comfort, richness, and sophistication.
